The Centre for Stewardship in Falkland are looking for a part time Coordinator to manage an exciting new project called WoodWorks.
WoodWorks is a new partnership formed to design and develop a course for enterprising and creative young people (16-25 years) who are inspired to learn and work with wood or with woodlands.
Our aim is to: develop a new training model for young people; and support young people to realise their potential by adding value to Scotland’s woodland resources.
WoodWorks are now seeking a co-ordinator to project manage this new initiative. The first course will begin with a week of “Immersion” on 19th July 2015 involving about 20 young people.
WoodWorks expects to develop a marketable toolkit and template for future use within other woodland settings. Following the residential experience, we are intending to support development of a few project ideas directed by young people each year. We are now seeking a co-ordinator to work an average of 10.5 hours a week (though full time availability for week beginning 19 July is essential). Salary of up to c. £28677 pro rata.
Previous, demonstrable project management experience is essential and experience of working with young people. This will be a two-year project.

We would also like to invite expressions of interest from potential contributors to the project programme and/or mentoring support to participants. Creative practitioners, artists, product designers, craft-makers, forest economists and ecologists, outdoor event organisers and landscape interpretation specialists are all welcome to apply. Set rate of £150 per day.
